River has dropped a little to about 2ft on the gauge which just brings the lower water into a fishable height. Better day too with high cloud to break up the brightest sun.
As a consequence we got off the mark with a sea liced 8lb fish for Dennis P fishing a cascade from the boat in the Spruces, had another offer in the Bargee and in the afternoon a serious swirl at the fly in the tail of the Spruces.
Water height is getting better each day, now all we need is a good run of fish.
