Well its that time of year again... the annual paunch reducing, back to nature, roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty, weed cut at the farm. About 2 hours a day (early morning in this heat) is about all I can manage but it is good for the body and occasionally the soul - not unusual to arrive to see deer at the water or the kingfisher whizz past - and I don`t have to pay an entry fee to a gym for the excercise!
And whilst on that subject, several people have asked me about the possibility of my doing courses on water management. I do have 30 odd yearsof hands-on experience of running and advising on a wide variety of waters from small ponds to rivers both here and abroad and, more recently, a more recently a full blown reservoir. Oh and I am proud to say I don`t have a certificate to my name in this respect so you could even learn something rather than just being risk assessed!
Please can anyone interested e-mail me at michael@michaelevans.co.uk and confirm you are interested and give me an idea whether you interest is more on the commercial side or the ecology management side. If I get enough people I will put a couple of courses together.
