Record Spring at Murthly Castle on Tay 2013

2013 was the best spring salmon fishing I have ever seen on the Tay – In my first April week, fishing Murthly 1. and Stenton on the River Tay, we landed 18 Springers, beating my previous best of 16. Then in early May running my courses on just the Murthly beat 1, we got another 18 plus a sea-trout and in the second week, we got another 21! Virtually all the fish on all three weeks were spanking fresh sea-licers in the 10 to 20lb class, how good was that!
