3 Day Salmon Fishing only (DALMARNOCK WATER, TAY) – 28th – 30th September 2017

This course is structured both to take anyone from a complete novice to the fisher with more experience but who lacks some of the more technical skills, through a fairly intensive programme of learning to Spey cast and fish for salmon with double-handed rods.

[9] Rods Remaining

Three-Days Salmon fishing with me on the Dalmarnock Water River Tay  28th – 30th September 2017

Following my new 3 day Autumn course on the Tay, I am staying on to fish myself and I have a number of rods available for those that either might like to stay on after the course or merely join the party.

Dalmarnock is a lovely beat with both banks, good access with some fishing from the banks and nice easy wading. The resident ghillie is Colin McFadyen  a long-time Tay ghillie and excellent fisher.

Late September into October has always traditionally been the best time on the Tay and as such is a bit more expensive than the Spring but it can produce some great fishing!

The cost of the three days bank fishing is £300 per rod. The cost does not include the usual ghillie’s tip (about £15/day/rod) or your accommodation which on Tay is at The Royal Dunkeld Hotel, Atholl St, Dunkeld, Perthshire PH8 0AR. Phone:01350 727322

The hotel does a special DB&B and packed lunch rate for my courses and those fishing at Dalmarnock at around £85/day.
