Courses & Tuition – Fly Fishing Courses

Single-handed Casting Course (4 hours with a break) minimum 2 people/maximum 4 people – with one instructor

 

example of casting The single-handed casting course will take both beginner and improver through a full programme of learning to cast with single-handed fly rods. All you will need to bring is a packed lunch (unless you wish to go to the pub!), a pair of (sun) glasses to protect your eyes, gumboots and waterproof clothing. You don’t need to bring any tackle as all tackle is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own and have it thoroughly checked over if you would prefer.

 

The course runs in 2 x 2-hour sessions from 10am until 12noon and from 2pm until 4pm allowing you sufficient time in the middle either to continue practising or to have a rest over lunch.

 

The course includes, but is not limited to:

 

  • The roll cast

  • The overhead cast

  • Shooting line

  • False casting

  • The double-haul technique

 

Tea and coffee is provided, but as previously mentioned, lunch is not included
