Tay 3rd May 2016 Close and one cigar

Stop press: David S, fishing below the Black rocks got an 8lb sea-liced fish almost last cast which I didnt find out about until after writing the report below. He described it as a triumph of experience over hope fishing somewhere he was told there was no point in fishing. He will  be taking the classes tomorrow in my place! But seriously well done David.

Water 2ft 3ins by close down from nearly 4ft last night and clearing. Saw several fish moving through but still at that awkward height for Murthly where they don’t stop for anything. That said Cecil D had a quick running-fish snatch from the Holly Bush RB Upper water and then lost another in the Girnals.  Otherwise zip. Lets hope the river drops another foot tonight.
