Just come off the phone with Charlie who spoke to Christopher this morning. You can get the publicised blog on Roxtons site, but the inside line is 60 fish from Middle yesterday fishing only 7 Rods (?) and 34 fish from Lower fishing 9 Rods with a number more lost.
The water is already several yards below the steps at lower making it a medium water year and the run clearly has only just started with the ice going only last week. In medium water we generally get the fish coming near enough to reach them but not so high that they run straight through. In low water they tend to run up the middle and are hard to reach without boats.
We are on Lower first (which is also good) and as I said it is shaping up nicely. Prawns and Dredgers at the ready, I’m getting excited!!!
