Water 6″ on the Peebles gauge up 2″ from yesterday when we arrived – Yeah!
Blazing sun and a cold wind to add to our prospects.
To be fair, I had a good pull in the Neidpath in the morning and had a fish on for about 45 seconds in Russells Rock twitching a light fly through the slack water this afternoon. And it is the 27th so I didn’t really expect it to stay on anyway!
One of the Irish lads also had a long range catch and release in Arris’ Putt this afternoon. Nothing else had been reported by the time I left at just before 5pm.
So, a pleasant day nonetheless, but we are struggling to find much fishing at this height and I cannot see much rain in the forecast that will help much.
