Water 10″ on Peebles gauge a rise of 4″ during the day. Very blustery wind and squally showers bringing lots of leaves!
But the rise of water did move a few fish which was helpful. They were still few and far between but the Irish lads had 3 on and lost before they got one to the bank, a hefty 18 pounder out of the Elm Wheel.
Meantime yours truly managed a 6lb cock Grilse from Arras’ Putt.
Two for the day under these conditions is not a bad effort.
