We arrived yesterday afternoon to fish the evening session. Much earlier than our usual Iceland trip so not expecting large numbers of Grilse, but more the bigger fish. And we were not disappointed bringing in 10 fish for our group of 8 rods in the first session with several in the 10 – 15lb class plus an 18 pounder.
This morning was marred by bright sun blazing out of a cloudless sky, in which a clear East Ranga doesn’t fish at all well, so a number of the beats were blank, but we did manage another three fish for the group by lunchtime. Hoping for cloud cover this afternoon.
