Top Water: River 2ft 2ins dropping to 2ft during the day. Overcast and still the cold upstream wind. But at least we didn’t get wet.
We fished hard but for no reward. Never saw or touched anything all day. Apparently they caught fish on Lower Newtyle, the next beat above us, so maybe our run of fish yesterday have moved on up.
