Salmon fishing can be a truly cruel mistress at times… Water at a lovely height for the latter part of last week. Donald had 5 on Saturday bring his total to 11 and Tony 20 for the week. One of the locals had 8 on the Town water by the bridge. Then the heavens opened. I never turned my wipers off once in the entire 8 hrs driving north yesterday. So water height this morning around 3ft and dirty.
The river has dropped a little and cleared during the day and John K did lose a fish at the net on the right bank of the Tronach. We did see a number of fish moving through but the usual problem at this height, they just don’t stop.
We are now being told more gales and rain coming in tomorrow…. Arggggggghhhhhh!!!!
