As I write (Thursday) the Tay is holding steady at 1ft 11ins which is a tad over the ideal height but not by much.
I spoke with Donald yesterday and his team had two springers on Tuesday. Tony on Murthly beat 2 had one on Monday and another on Tuesday. Amongst others, Newtyle (the next beat up from our top water) had a 27 pounder on Tuesday also, so there was clearly a nice run of fish that day.
The long range weather forecast is for it to be mild with little or no rain for Dunkeld next week, so fingers crossed for some good conditions for a change, especially after last year!
For those coming or passing and thinking of dropping in, remember we are back in the Birnam House Hotel this year and will be starting on the Top water on Monday. I am very much looking forward to getting back on the river.
