Two years since I have been to the Varzuga – 2017 we had to cancel due to the river being still frozen and last year I couldn’t go.
So it is with growing enthusiasm I see that the Varzuga blog is now running www.varzuga.com and having spoken with Charlie who is going out this Friday the Ice has broken but not yet cleared and it is still very cold which will hold up the fish. Yipee!
This year will be 25 years since I first went to Varzuga and my 22nd trip, so I can say with some confidence that we have got the conditions just about bang on where I like them at this stage. A little warmth next week please just before we arrive!
