Elibank, Tweed. 30th October 2020

Arrived this morning to find the water up to about 2ft 6ins (The Sepa gauges are offline for some reason) and very dirty.

The morning spent struggling with heavy sinking gear and leaves just about every cast. But never say never… mid stream down the Bridge Pool and I got a 4lb Seatrout. Not the cleanest but very welcome given the conditions.

Pm water cleared a little and dropped back several inches, sufficient for the fast sinker to produce a slightly stale 5lb Grilse. So a salmon and a sea trout under less than ideal conditions. I was happy with that!
