Murthly Castle, Tay 5th April 2022

Upper Water:  Water down a little on yesterday, still a good height for Murthly. But steady rain all day did not make the fishing much fun. The blazing log fire in the hut log burner was rather more of a draw than the two fish that were seen!  Donald saw a big fish (20+ he reckoned) in the very fast water running up to the Tronach and Cecil saw a “good” fish (aren’t they all?) show in the Girnals in the afternoon.

With near constant rain since early morning (it is nearly 6pm as I write) I suspect we might have a very different river in the morning.
