Water back up again, 2ft 10ins on Tony’s gauge and once again the blazing sun shone from a cloudless sky!!!!
Even more frustrating was that I lost a fish in the meetings on for a minute of so. I did point out that had Tony not chosen a fly he had tied, for me it might have taken with a more positive attitude… needless to say he was sympathetic and apologetic!
Even worse, up on the upper water right bank Chris E also hooked a fish from 20 or so yards above the stones and that then promptly fell off.
Hopefully the guys on Stenton this afternoon have had more luck but they aren’t in yet.
