SALMON FISHING VARZUGA & KITSA, KOLA PENINSULA, RUSSIA
2019 will see me back on my regular week on Varzuga & Kitsa.
This is one of the premier weeks on what is one of the most productive salmon rivers in the world. with an average of 20 – 40 fish per rod for the week and no mosquitoes at this time. Lots of variety with three days on Varzuga and three days on the smaller Kitsa. This is that trip of a lifetime although several of us go every year just because it is so good!
Land package cost for 2019 £4250. Flights overnights and visa etc extra.
Itinerary – Fly out to Helsinki on the Friday, overnight at the Airport Hilton. Early Saturday we take the charter to Murmansk from where we are helicoptered to the Sabacchi Camp just downstream of Varzuga village. Fishing starts in the Heli Pool as soon as licenses are issued. Sunday – Tuesday, 3 full days fishing with one Russian guide per two rods. Tuesday evening we transfer (10 minutes flight) in the helicopter to the Kitsa Camp. Wednesday – Friday 3 days fishing with one Russian guide to two rods on the Kitsa River. Saturday return without an overnight to the UK.
