Tay report Monday May 2nd 2016

So much for perfect conditions and low water.  Water just over the 1ft 6in mark when we arrived this morning. Thank goodness I thought, the heavy rain we had last night must have not fallen in the west. Got the team started and saw several fish… any minute now I thought… and then a large branch came past and then another. By lunchtime we had somewhere around 2ft 6ins and it went on rising and getting dirty. By 4.30pm we had packed up with the level well over 3ft and the big bargee under water.  **** it!!!!!!!!
